    Therapeutic Styles

In our practice we use evidence based treatment strategies to help our clients. Evidence based treatment refers to therapeautic methods that have been tested and found effective in successfully reducing personal distress. In other words, evidence based treatment methods are proven to work.

As clinicians, we also recognise that certain therapy models work for certain individuals. A "blanket approach" to apply one therapeutic style would be inflexible and would ignore individual differences. Therefore, we believe that it is our responsibility to be proficient in more than one therapeutic style and apply the right style that will fit with your personality and expectations.

On the pages below you will find information about the main therapy styles that our clinicians use:

    • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
